The ‘Golf Capital of the World’ Specialty License Plate has been a recurring source of funding for The First Tee organizations across Florida since 2002. Since 2012, the Golf Capital of the World License Plate has granted The First Tee of Central Florida $72,500 to deliver The First Tee’s Programs at Schools, After-School Programs, and local golf courses.
The Dade Amateur Golf Association funded and advocated for the passage of the Golf License Plate, and in the same statute, also created The Florida Junior Golf Council. Through support of the Dade Amateur Golf Association, the Florida Junior Golf Council (FJGC) works to improve the lives of Florida’s youth by introducing them to the great game of golf and the tremendous values embodied in the game.
You can help support junior golf programs throughout the state of Florida by purchasing a “Golf Capital of the World” license plate.
